The Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit worldwide charitable organization focused on improving the security of application software. Our mission is to make application security visible, so that people and organizations can make informed decisions about true application security risks. A group dedicated to the study and practice of security spanning cyber, information, and physical security issues. Meetings will look at specific aspects of security including assessments, secure system design and development, secure maintenance and implementation practices; and a variety of related topics. This group is intended to be complementary to the OWASP program (i.e., we will shy away from web application security topics for the most part).
